Kathy Thompson

Kathy "Spooky" Thompson, age 63, of Toledo, passed away peacefully Monday, September 24, 2018 at Ebeid Hospice with loving family by her side. She was born on September 10, 1955 to Henry and Katherine (Simmons) Myrice in Toledo. Kathy enjoyed crocheting, puzzles, baking and gardening. She liked riding her motorcycle and spending time with her family and friends. Kathy loved her dogs Bailey, Ringo and Lady. She thoroughly enjoyed spoiling her grandchildren. Kathy will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Hank Myrice, Jr.; sister, Rosemary Ball; step-mother, Donna Myrice; siblings, Donna Lynn Zajac, Sandy Zimmerman and Marty Mayo. Kathy is survived by her loving husband of 24 years, Jim Thompson; sons, Mike (Melanie) Ball and Chad Miller; grandchildren, Dakota, Alexandrea, and Alyssa; siblings, Phillip Myrice, Joe (Melanie) Myrice, Lori (David) Szalkowski, Rick (Carol) Lynch and Louis (Bobbie) Bunker; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.

The family will receive guests on Saturday, October 6, 2018 from 1 - 4:00 p.m. at Newcomer – Northwest Chapel, 4150 W. Laskey Rd., Toledo (419-473-0300) with Funeral Services beginning at 4:00 p.m. in the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, those wishing to make memorial contributions are asked to consider the family c/o Melanie Ball.
