Kathryn Ann Rynn

July 10, 1932 — March 30, 2023

Kathryn Ann Rynn, age 90, passed away at her home Thursday March 30, 2023. The daughter of Martin and Luvella Farkas, she was born July 10, 1932 in Toledo. She was a 1950 graduate of Notre Dame Academy. After graduation, she and several other alumni formed a Notre Dame Club. This group of ladies shared all of life's experience together, the good times and the sad times. The NDA club held a very special place in her heart. She married Paul J. Rynn on September 12, 1953. Kathryn was Hungarian with a need to wander. She loved to travel especially with her daughter, Rebecca. She was a musician and music was a huge part of her life that she passed down to her children and grandchildren. In the 40s, as a child she played the accordion on Sundays on the radio. Kathryn loved to dance and She and Paul were member of the Toledo Jester's. Mom always referred to dad as her lifelong dance partner. Paul and Kathryn owned a cottage on Lake Pleasant where she had many fond memories especially playing games with her grandchildren, every one of them learning to play"Oh Hell" and "Kings Corner". They eventually made the cottage their retirement home. She was a member and past president of Pittsford Garden Club, Anna Marie Island Garden Club and past president of the Hillsdale Garden Club. In 2003 Kathryn and Paul began wintering in Florida at the Lincoln Arms Mobile Home Park. She was a homemaker to the truest extent, making curtains, clothes, slip covers, bed spreads and so much more. She will be deeply missed.

She is survived by her children, Christopher J. (Karen) Rynn, Paula A. (Paul J. Sr.) Taylor, Jennifer Tolles, Patrick M. Rynn, Amy (Steven)Krieg; 14 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren; 10 great great grandchildren and brother-in-law Burrell Knab.
She was preceded in death by her husband Paul; daughter, Rebeca A. Rynn; sister, Margie Knab and her parents.
