Kathryn A. Monroe of Toledo, Ohio passed away on June 17, 2024. She was born in Toledo on July 7, 1947 to Gilbert and Henrietta (Rybak) Warren.

Kathy was a loving wife, mom and grandma who enjoyed spending time with her family, cooking/baking, reading, crocheting, birds/nature, cats, collecting red birds and snow babies. Her family was her world.

Surviving is her husband, Donald Monroe; children, Jeff (Connie) Monroe, Donald (Carey) Monroe, Kelli Monroe; Siblings, Bob (Karon) Warren, Judy Jodouin, Tim Warren, Brenda Womack, Ruthanne Warren, Debbie (Bob) Houser; grandchildren, Jennifer, Krystal, Tayler, Andrew, Kyle and Hurricane; great-grandchildren, Harley, Kassandra (KC), Forest, Ryleigh, Annabelle, Cordelia and many nieces and nephews.

Kathy was preceded in death by her parents, Gilbert & Henrietta (Rybak) Warren; brother, Gibby Warren; brother in-law, Larry Womack; Great niece-Cara; Great-great niece, Rosalie; great-great nephew, Ayden; Grand cat, Snowball and Grand dog, Shadow.

Family and friends will be received at the Newcomer Funeral Home, (West Sylvania Chapel) 3655 King Rd., Toledo on Friday, June 21, 2024 from 4:00 - 8:00 PM. Prayers will begin in the funeral home on Saturday, June 22, 2024 at 10:15 AM followed by the Funeral Mass at 11:00 AM at Little Flower Catholic Church 5522 Dorr St. Toledo. Interment will follow at Toledo Memorial Park.

The family would like to give special thanks to her TTH ICU nurses: Shanna, Jan, Alyssa, Morgan, Jill, Melissa, Sydney, Shyanne; Dr. Case and Evan Prielipp, NP; Dr. Kadoura and Nephrology Consultants; Dr. Karamali and cardiac team along with the dialysis nurses, Christine and Teri.
