Kathryn R. Bednarski, age 75, of Toledo, passed away August 17, 2023 at home. She was born September 21, 1947 in Toledo to Robert Potter and Sofia (Undra) Zeleski. Kathy was employed with the Toledo Public Schools for more than 30 years retiring in 2010 as a Campus Protection Officer. The greatest love of Kathy's life were her grandchildren, she also enjoyed camping, and her monthly poker club.
In addition to her parents, Kathy was also preceded in death by her loving husband, John D. Bednarski and brother, Stanley Zeleski. She is survived by her children, Bradley Bednarski and Tricia Asay; grandchildren, William Garner, Dylan Bednarski and Sophia Asay; great-granddaughter, Korra Garner; special niece, Alexandra Zeleski and sister-in-law, Cindy Zeleski.
The family will receive guests Tuesday, August 29, 2023 from 3:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. at Newcomer - SW Chapel, 4752 Heatherdowns Blvd. (419-381-1900). Funeral Services will begin Tuesday at 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to The Toledo Area Humane Society in Kathy's memory.
The family would like to thank the wonderful staff of Southern Care Hospice for their loving care of Kathy.
