Kathleen Parks (Lehaney)(Hamilton)
Kathleen Parks (Lehaney)(Hamilton), age 61, passed away Monday, February 21, 2011. She was born May 28, 1949 to Raymond and Mildred (Morris) Parks in Toledo.
Kathy was preceded in death by her father, Raymond. She is survived by her mother, Mildred Parks; children Erin (Jennifer) Lehaney and Andrea Lehaney; siblings, Pamela (Bob) Miller, Kim (Lynn) Parks, Deborah (John) Johnston and many nieces, nephews and grandchildren.
Kathy will be very missed by her extended family, friends and co-workers from Wenatchee, Washington where she resided for over the last 20 years. Kathy was a Ovarian Cancer fighter for over 5 years until her battle could no longer be fought. She was loved, cared for, and supported in so may ways by friends, co-workers, staff members of Wenatchee Valley Medical Center, Seattle Cancer Care Alliance and Hospice of Northwest Ohio. Our sincerest Thank you's and blessings can not extend far enough.
Kathy will be best remembered for her love of cake decorating, ceramics, dancing, music, life itself and helping out others even when she struggled herself.
The family will receive guests this Thursday from 4-8pm at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W Laskey Rd. Toledo, OH (419-473-0300). Funeral services will be held at 11am on this Friday at St. Matthews Episcopal Church, 5420 Talmadge Rd. Toledo, Ohio with visitation one hour prior. Father Joseph Keblesh officiating.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Kathy's memory may be made to Hospice of Northwest Ohio.
