Kathleen M. Landon (Mennitt), age 81, passed awy on December 30, 2014. She was born on February 2, 1933 to the late Katherine (Sturtz) and Leonard Mennitt in Toledo, Ohio.
Kathleen grew up in East Toledo and attended The University of Toledo. She was introduced to Tom Landon by his brother, Denny. They married in 1979 and lived in Elmore, Ohio for many years. Kathleen had worked at The Toledo Museum of Art and The American Red Cross. She enjoyed traveling, reading and theatre at Stratford.
In addition to her parents, Kathleen was preceded in death by her siblings, Leonard, Rita and Joseph Mennitt. Left to cherish her memory is her loving husband of 35 years, Tom; nieces and nephews, John (Alice) Mennitt, Joyce (William) Pasch, James Mennitt, Debbie Ralston, Denise Mennitt, Dawn Latta, Karen (Mike) Zawisza, Scott Cottle, Dennis, Jeff, Chris and Alison Landon and brother-in-law, Denny Landon.
The family will receive guests from 2-3:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 10, 2015 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4752 Heatherdowns Blvd., Toledo (419-381-1900). The Memorial Service will begin at 3:00 p.m.
The family requests memorial donations be made to: Alzheimer's Association or Read for Literacy.
