Kathleen M. (Jones) Bruhn, age 60, of Toledo, left this Earth, Saturday, May 9, 2009 for eternity with her first love, soul mate and husband Edward C. Bruhn Sr. She was born July 5, 1948 to James M. and Shirley (Miller) Jones in Toledo. Kathy was a two-year Jr. Vice President of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary Post 2984, Northwood, Ohio. The post was her second family who she dearly loved.

Left to cherish her memory is her son, Gary R. Ruebush; grandchildren, Corey, Zach, Alisha, Jordan and Kelsey; 2 great-grandchildren; brothers, Danny (Susan) Jones, Michael (Julie) Jones, Douglas (Cindy) Jones, Charles (Donna) Doty, Bob (Ella) Diebert and Gary (Lucy) Diebert; sisters, Bonnie (Fred) Kuhlenbeck, Judy (Richard) Glanville, Linda Boyer, Donna Cluckey, Kaye Combs and Denise Connors; brother-in-law, Steve (Alice) Bruhn; sisters-in-law, Candy (Bernie) Kunkle, Sandy (Richard) Baker, Nancy Witsman, Mable Jones, Rita Mossing and Robin Reese; special Aunt Bea and Uncle Denny; second love, Kenneth Lafferty Sr.; longtime friends, Pete and Susan Titta, Judi Riba, Carol Buehrle, Ms. Wanita Ketel, Lucille and Nancy; her beloved dog, Molly; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by her beloved "mom" Ruth L. Jones, brothers, Clyde Diebert and James R. Jones Sr., sister, Karen Diebert, sister-in-law, Pearl P. Jones, and brothers-in-law, Olie Cluckey and Ernie Martinez.

The family will receive guests on Thursday from 2 – 8:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd. (419-473-0300). Funeral Services will begin Friday at 10:00 a.m. in the funeral home. Interment will follow in Restlawn Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, those wishing to make monetary donations are asked to consider the VFW Post 2984 Ladies Auxiliary.
