Kathleen Patricia Lutheran

Kathleen Patricia Lutheran, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on March 1, 2025, in her lifelong hometown of Toledo, Ohio. Born on October 20, 1947, Kathleen was not only a cherished member of her family but also a vibrant spirit known for her fisty, fun-loving personality.

Kathleen lived a life rich in love and dedication to her family. She was the devoted wife of Michael J. Lutheran for 59 beautiful years. Together, they created a warm and nurturing home, surrounded by their children, Michael F. Lutheran and his wife Kim, Brenda Caminita and her husband Chet, and Donna Malizia and her husband David. Kathleen's pride in her family was evident, as she often said that her greatest accomplishment was the love she shared with them.

As a grandmother, Kathleen brought joy to the lives of her grandchildren: Kelly, Jonathan, Joseph, Madison, Christena, Brooke, Matthew, Jake, and Rachel. She also delighted in her role as a great-grandmother to two great-grandsons, Luke and Lincoln. Her family will forever remember her spirited nature, her infectious laughter, and her unwavering support.

Kathleen had a variety of interests that enriched her life. She was an accomplished seamstress and quilter, often seen creating beautiful pieces that would be treasured by her loved ones. She also had a great passion for horses, which reflected her dynamic spirit and love for exploration.  There was a well known 30 day list that you would get on if Kathleen disagreed with you. This has now become a good inside joke. 

Although Kathleen has left this world, her memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew her. She is survived by her loving husband, children, grandchildren, great-grandsons, brother-in-law John Lutheran and his wife Wanda, sister-in-law, Lillian Lutheran and a host of extended family and friends. Kathleens' laughter and love will forever resonate in their lives.

Kathleen is preceded in death by her son, Andrew Lutheran; her sister, Diane Blaesing; her father, Robert G. Kelly; and her mother, Kathryn Kelly, and brother-in-law Phillip Lutheran. They welcomed her with open arms as she journeys into eternal peace.

A visitation will be held for Kathleen on March 13, 2025, from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM, followed by a funeral service at 1:00 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home, Southwest Toledo, located at 4752 Heatherdowns Blvd, Toledo, OH 43614. Following the funeral service, a graveside service will take place at Resurrection Cemetery at 5725 Hill Ave, Toledo, OH 43615, starting at 2:15 PM.

Kathleen Patricia Lutheran will be profoundly missed, yet her spirit will continue to inspire all who had the privilege of knowing her.
