Katherine Williams

Katherine L. Williams, age 72, of Toledo, passed away Wednesday, July 25, 2007 at Lake Park Comfort Care surrounded by her loving family. She was born on October 1, 1934 to Oscar and Nellie (Krueger) Schmidlin in Holland, OH. Katherine worked as a bookkeeper for many years with the family business, A-1 Schmidlin Plumbing and Heating. She was an avid reader and loved nothing more than spending time with her family especially her grandchildren. Katherine will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by 2 sisters and 1 brother. Katherine is survived by her loving husband of 55 years: Roy L. Williams; daughter: Debbie (Dan) Ray; son: Ray (Elizabeth) Williams; grandchildren: Jacob (Jennifer), Andrea (Matthew) and Rebecca; great-grandchildren: Dylan, Skylar, James and Shadeu; mother: Lucille Schmidlin; brothers: Chuck (Jean), Walter (Cris) and Paul (Tracy) Schmidlin; and sister: Mary Jo (Paul) Holmes.

The family will receive guests on Friday, July 27, 2007 at the Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd., Toledo (419-473-0300) from 5 – 8:00 p.m. A Memorial Service will be held Saturday at 3:00 p.m. at King of Glory Lutheran Church, 6517 Brint Rd., Sylvania, OH. Officiating will be Pastor Paul R. Schmidlin.

In lieu of flowers, those wishing to make monetary donations are asked to consider the Lutheran Home Society or Caring Visiting Nurse Hospice.
