Katharine F. Gensler

Katharine F. Gensler, age 81, of Toledo, passed away Sunday, December 13, 2015 at the Franciscan Care Center. She was born on May 31, 1934 to Frederick and Ethel (Marshall) Frey in New Orleans, Louisiana. Katharine graduated from Stevens High School in New Orleans. She was an avid football fan, especially of the New Orleans Saints. Katharine and her husband enjoyed going to the casinos, attending plays, going to the movies, cooking seafood and listening to bluegrass music.

Katharine is survived by her loving husband of 22 years, Lynn Gensler; sons, Edward (Dee) and David Parramore; step-children, Becky (Douglas) Arndt, Linda (Bink) Mueller, Valerie (John) Juckette, Dale (Kathi) Gensler and Karen (Robert) Carpenter; 13 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; brother, Frederick Frey, Jr.; and many dear friends. She was preceded in death by her parents.

The family will receive guests on Friday from 4 – 7:30 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd., Toledo (419-473-0300) with Funeral Services beginning at 7:30 p.m. in the funeral home.
