Karl H. Koester
Karl H. Koester, age 69, of Toledo, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, January 2, 2007 in the Toledo Hospital surrounded by his loving family. He was born July 1, 1937 to Henry and Dorothy (Scott) Koester in Toledo. Karl was employed as a laboratory technologist for many years, most recently with the University of Toledo Medical Center. He loved nothing more than spending time with his family and friends at his lake front cottage.
Karl is survived by his loving wife of 26 years, Sandy Koester; children: Kristopher, Michael (Tamara), Matthew (Kristin) Koester and Lisa Hritzak; grandchildren: Todd, Holly (Jason), Joshua, Derek, Tyler and Noah; great-grandson: Zachary; sisters: Kathy (Arlen) Miller and Sue (Gary) Ames; brothers: Larry (Karen) and Alan (Sandy) Koester; aunt: Ella Grace Scott; and many nieces, nephews and dear friends. He was preceded in death by his parents.
The family will receive guests Friday from 2-8:00 p.m. in the Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd. (419-473-0300). The family will also receive guests Saturday from 10-11:00 a.m. at First Baptist Church of Sylvania, 4827 Holland-Sylvania Rd., with Funeral Services beginning at 11:00 a.m. Officiating will be Pastor Don Reynolds.
