Karen S. Hartley

Karen S. (Herbster) Hartley, age 58, of Toledo, went to be with the Lord August 4, 2016 at Cleveland Clinic. She was born October 27, 1957 in Toledo to Robert and Phyllis (Fountain) Herbster. Karen was employed with UCB. She enjoyed gardening, sewing and baking. She was a member of the Church on Strayer. Karen was known as the "neighborhood mom," and enjoyed her time as Grandma Karen.

Karen is survived by her husband, Tracey B. Hartley; mother, Phyllis Herbster; children, Aaron (Amanda) Hartley, Amy Hartley, Elizabeth (Reynold) Worthington and Jenni (Billy) Hartley; grandchildren, Devin Knorr, Masin Hartley and his mom Lara Kurtz, Reynold Worthington, IV, Zachary Knorr, Autumn Worthington and Mikenzie Worthington; siblings, Jeannette (Dave) Moore, Robert (Regina) Herbster and Cheryl (Dan) Snyder. Karen was preceded in death by her father, Robert.

The family will receive guests Wednesday, August 10, 2016 from 2:00 pm - 8:00 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home - SW Chapel, 4752 Heatherdowns Blvd. (419-381-1900). Funeral Services will begin Thursday at 10:00 am. at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Cleveland Clinic Coronary Care Unit in Karen's memory.
