Karen Mae Gabel

Karen Mae Gabel, age 64, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, September 12, 2015. She was born on April 26, 1951 in Toledo, Ohio to Robert and Beverly (Benson) Connerton. Karen was a devout Christian and had a strong belief and following with her Lord. She was very giving, did not judge and gave love unconditionally. Most important to her was her family and especially her grandchildren. When she wasn't spending time with her family or reading her Bible, she could be found Facebooking. They will always remember her as being kind hearted and soft spoken. She will be dearly missed by those who loved her.

Left to cherish her memory are her children, Veronica Gabel (Steven Ball), Jason Gabel (Shawn Collins), Lane (Jenifer) Gabel, Peter (Amy) Gabel and Angela Gabel (John Adams); identical twin sister, Sharon Shook; sister, Ruth Teal; brother, Earl J. Kelly; grandchildren, Taylor, Gage, Chloe, Savannah, Hailee, Zoey, Jaxon - who will miss his, "Blah Blah," Kyle, Austin, Rebecca and Katelyn; great-grandson, Stevie; many nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her two brothers, Robert and Roy Connerton.

The family will receive guests on Saturday, September 19, 2015 from 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd. (419-473-0300). Funeral Services will begin in the funeral home on Saturday at 1:00 p.m. Interment will follow in Ottawa Hills Memorial Park.
