Karen L. Lovely, age 68, of Deerfield, MI, passed away Thursday, December 31, 2020 at the Toledo Hospital. She was born on July 15, 1952 to Frank Sr. and Barbara (Kuhn) Weir in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Karen graduated from Pioneer High School in Ann Arbor, MI. She worked as a news carrier for over 35 years delivering New York Times, Ann Arbor News and Detroit Free Press & News for Washtenaw News Company; a job she truly loved as she worked nights. Karen was an avid reader of horror books and murder mysteries, alongside of her husband, Don. She loved nothing more than spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Karen's smile, spirit and caring nature will truly be missed by all who knew and loved her.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, Don Lovely; daughter, Angela Jean Lovely; and brother, Frank A. Weir, II. Left to cherish Karen's memory are her sons, Lyn (Mary) and Donald Lovely; grandchildren, Amanda, Donavyn, Stephanie and Monica; siblings, Charlene Weir, Theresa (Dan) Davis, Randy Weir, Carol Reid and John (Renee) Weir; nieces, Shannon Weir and Jessica Weir; nephews, Danny Davis and Adam Weir; and many dear friends.
The family will receive guests on Wednesday, January 6, 2021 from 3 – 5:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home – Northwest Chapel, 4150 W. Laskey Rd., Toledo (419-473-0300) with Memorial Services beginning at 5:00 p.m. in the funeral home. (For the safety of the Lovely family and their guests, masks are required with social distancing).
