Karen L. Gosselin, age 44, of Toledo, passed away Monday, May 28, 2007 in her home surrounded by her loving family after a long 3 ½ year courageous fight with cancer. She was born on November 25 1962 to Thomas and Frances (Pracht) Kibler in Quincy, IL. Karen was a graduate of Quincy High School and was a member of the National Honor Society. She also attended Columbia College and Culver Stockton College. Karen worked as a retail manager in many various stores and was a member of North Point Church of the Nazarene. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
She was preceded in death by her mother. Karen is survived by her loving husband of 16 years, James Gosselin; children: Jeffrey (Jessica Schaaf) Jones, Lisa and Lori Gosselin; father: Thomas Kibler; siblings: Kevin and Kathy Kibler; nephew: Jacob Kibler; brother-in-law: Robert Gosselin; best friend: Jill (Cliff) Monken; and many dear relatives and friends.
The family will receive guests on Thursday, May 31, 2007 in the Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd., Toledo (419-473-0300) from 4 – 7:00 p.m. Funeral Services will begin at 6:30 p.m. in the funeral home. Officiating will be Pastor Steve Salyers.
