Kandy M. Darnell, 56, went to be with the Lord on September 1, 2012 surrounded by her loving family. She was born on November 22, 1955 in Toledo, Ohio.
Kandy was a 1973 graduate of Start High School. She worked for Lucas County Common Pleas Court for 30 years. Kandy had a passion for cooking, especially for family get-togethers during the holidays. She loved her family and adored her grandchildren. Kandy was an avid sports fan and enjoyed cheering on the Detroit Tigers and New Orleans Saints.
Kandy was preceded in death by her mother, Arlene Keeling; granddaughter, Kyra Darnell; brother, Gregory Keeling and her grandparents. Left to cherish her memory is her loving husband of 38 years, Jon; daughters, Tyna Darnell (Ryan Wittman), Lindsey (Chris) Bialy; father, Bill Keeling; brothers, Mark (Shelly) Keeling and Mike Keeling; brother-in-laws, Robert (Cheryl), Steven (Nancy), Matt (Sandy) and Ron (Tracy) Darnell; grandchildren, Christopher, Cash and Lucas Bialy and Jonathan Wittman and many loving nieces, nephews and dear friends.
The family would like to give a special thanks to the ICU Nurses and Staff at St. Anne's Hospital.
The family will receive guests on Thursday, September 6, 2012 from 2-8:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Road, Toledo (419-473-0300). A funeral service will begin at 11:00 a.m. on Friday. Visitation one hour prior to the service.
