Kandy K. Collins, age 66, passed away suddenly in her sleep at her home on Friday, August 2, 2019. She was born on July 25, 1953 to John Woodby, Jr. and Helen (Poole) Viers. Kandy loved her family, they were her pride and joy and she always put their needs before her own. She enjoyed flea markets, antiques, baking, crafting and knitting blankets for almost everyone in her family. Kandy loved NASCAR- she always rooted for the Earnhardt's! She also enjoyed collecting Betty Boop, Coca-Cola and Elvis memorabilia. She was a great woman with a giving heart and she will be dearly missed.
Left to cherish her memory is her loving husband, Duane Collins; mother, Helen Viers; children, Vincent Rodd (Karen Jackson) and Christina Yelverton; grandchildren, Brittany Yelverton, Samantha Yelverton and Caleb Yelverton; great-grandchildren, Greyson and Charlie Ann; siblings, John Woodby, Kim Schlieman and Karen Domschot; fur babies, Fluffy, Gizmo, Angel and Mokey; many nieces, nephews, cousins and host of friends - too many to list! She was preceded in death by her father; step-father, Duane "Skeet" Viers; son in law, Joseph L. Yelverton and brother in law, Ed Schlieman.
The family will receive guests on Monday, August 12, 2019 from 2-6:00 p.m. at Newcomer - Northwest Chapel, 4150 W. Laskey Rd. (419-473-0300) with her Funeral Service starting at 6:00 p.m.
Memorial Contributions may be made to the family to help defray the costs of the funeral, in c/o Duane Collins.
