Justin Lyle Dunbar

Justin Lyle Dunbar, age 44, of Toledo, Ohio, passed away May 23, 2024, at The Toledo Hospital. Justin was born March 15, 1980, in Toledo, to Justin and Gayle (Hall) Dunbar.

Justin graduated from Libbey High School. A man of faith, he loved Jesus and listening to Gospel music. Justin enjoyed watching movies that had a comedic relief. Due to his vision causing restraints, he made a lot of friends online and through his YouTube. He loved making people smile and laugh, especially with his voices and animal noises he would make! Justin had the best of friends, Artesha and Jessie and enjoyed hanging out with them, along with spending time with his nieces and nephews. He had a special place in his heart for children and loved being around kids.

Family was very important to Justin, especially his daughter, Azella. She meant the world to him and his greatest accomplishment was being her father. He was proud of everything she has accomplished and will continue to do so.

With everything that Justin has been through, he always stayed optimistic, regardless of the disabilities and hurdles he faced; he was always concerned about others’ in making sure they were doing alright. Justin would want you to continue smiling and laughing and know that he will see you again!

Those left to forever cherish his memory are his loving daughter, Azella Dunbar; mother, Gayle Dunbar; sisters, Kim (Russ) Benson and Amy (Craig) Snyder; nieces and nephew, Destiny, Megan, Jessica and Trace; great niece, Cerenity; and the mother of Azella and best friend, Artesha.

Justin was preceded in death by his father, Justin Lee Dunbar.

Private family services will be held at the Newcomer Funeral Home, 4752 Heatherdowns Blvd., Toledo, Ohio 43614.
