Junior K. Mitchell Jr.

Junior K. Mitchell , 68, of Whitehouse, passed away December 28, 2020 at his home. Junior was born June 21, 1952 in Toledo to Junior and Ruth (Aldrich) Mitchell.
He attended Anthony Wayne High School. In 1977 he met his soul-mate, Maria (Rodriguez) Mitchell who he married in 1987. Junior worked at Southeastern Containers in Bowling Green for many years, retiring in 2016. He enjoyed taking trips to the Smokey Mountains and in his free time, camping, canoeing, fishing, bike riding, swimming, and hiking. Junior will be remembered as a fun and adventurous person who was a good husband, dad, grandfather and brother.
He is survived by his loving wife, Maria Mitchell; children, Thomas Lechuga, Louie Lechuga, Angeline Mitchell, Kenneth Mitchell; 8 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; brothers, Rick (Aidee) Mitchell and Ron (Terrie) Mitchell; and many nieces and nephews.
Junior was preceded in death by his parents and brother, James Caldwell.
The family will receive guests Tuesday, January 5, 2021 from 4:00 pm - 7:00 pm at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - SW Chapel, 4752 Heatherdowns Blvd. (419-381-1900). Funeral Services will be private.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society in Junior's memory.
