June A. Parkinson

Heaven gained a beautiful angel on, Monday, June 23, 2014, as June A. Parkinson, age 83, ended her journey and is at peace with our Lord. She passed away at home with her loving family by her side. June was born on June 19, 1931 to Leo and Alice Managhan in Toledo. By all who knew her, June will be remembered as the best kind of friend, one who knew no strangers. She was a kind hearted, loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister who will be dearly missed by all.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of almost 58 years, Glen Parkinson; 2 brothers and 2 sisters. June is survived by her loving children, Linda (Denny) Pool, Gary (Melinda) Parkinson, Cindy (Tom) Jutkowski, Wendy (Ray) Struffolino and Penny (Tim) Andra; grandchildren, Denny (Laura) and Jason (Aimee) Pool; Brandy (Jeremiah) Hogeland and Brittany (Scott) Andra; great-grandchildren, Cameron, Ethan and Conner Pool; Aidan and Austin Marckel; and Liam Miller; sisters, Luanna Foradas and Shirley Travis; best companions, Tasha and Pumpkin Eddey; and many other extended family members and dear friends.

The family will receive guests on Saturday from 12:00 – 4:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd., Toledo (419-473-0300) with Funeral Services beginning at 4:00 p.m. in the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, those wishing to make memorial contributions are asked to consider Hospice of Northwest Ohio.
