Julius Bona, age 89, of Toledo, passed away Friday, September 25th, 2009 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Toledo. He was born December 15th, 1919 to Julius and Helen (Kerekes) Bona, Sr. in Toledo, Ohio. Julius was a WWII U.S. Army Veteran, serving his country proudly. He was employed with Craft Master for many years before retiring. Julius enjoyed bowling on several leagues, trips to the casinos and traveling with his beloved wife, Anna. Julius also treasured the time that he and Anna, who were married September 27th, 1947 in Toledo, spent with family and friends.
In addition to his parents, Julius was preceded in death by his loving wife of 62 years, Anna Bona who passed away April 23rd, 2009 and nephew, Frank Karcsak. He is survived by loving nephews and nieces, William (Pat) Karcsak, Sr.; James (Ruth) Karcsak and Carol Karcsak; John (Linda) Cwiklak; Larry (Chris) Dernier; Lynn VanDielen and Saundra Zima.
The family will receive guests Friday, October 23rd, 2009 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Stephen's Catholic Church, 1880 Genesse St., Toledo for a Memorial Mass of Resurrection to celebrate Julius' life.
