Julia Schlosser

Julia Schlosser, age 93, of Monclova, formerly of Temperance, MI, passed away peacefully Friday, January 4, 2013 at the Otterbein at Monclova. She was born on February 3, 1919 to Ignatz and Anna (Zepke) Materna in Hamtramck, Michigan. Julia lived in Temperance most of her life and was a longtime member of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church. She enjoyed playing bingo and taking casino trips. Julia loved nothing more than the time spent with her family, especially her grandchildren. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Schlosser; and 4 brothers and 2 sisters. Julia is survived by her loving children, Duane (Sharon) Schlosser, Carole (Joseph) Crociata, Thomas (Diane) Schlosser, Larry (Jenny) Schlosser and Scott (Denise) Schlosser; and 38 grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

The family will receive guests on Tuesday from 3 – 8:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd., (419-473-0300). Funeral Services will begin Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. in the funeral home. Interment will follow in Toledo Memorial Park.
