Julia Bilenski, age 102, passed away to be with the lord on Wednesday, November 25, 2009.
On November 27, 1906 she was born to Julian and Katherine Kozlowski in Warsaw, Poland.
Survivors include her sister, Sophie Sitek; nieces, Rita Szumigala, Elaine (Joe) Rynn, Kate Zaborowski, and Sharon (Chuck) Dendinger; great-niece, Julie (Jeff) Wilson; great-nephews, Frank (Jane) Szumigala and David (Judy) Szumigala; great-great- nieces and nephews, Alison (Aurelian) Oprea, Gregory Szumigala, Kelly (Josh) Hoot, Jessica Szumigala, Jeffrey (Tara) Wilson, and Jennifer (Ben) Murray. Julia is also survived by many great-great-great nieces and nephews.
Preceding Julia in death is her husband, Kostanty Bilenski; her parents; and three sisters.
Julia was a member of Regina Coeli Catholic Church for over 30 years. She worked at Willies Overland Jeep for over 30 years, and she had been retired for over 40 years, often remaining active with fellow retirees. Julia loved her family and she enjoyed spending time with them. She was an excellent cook, frequently baking Polish coffee cake and cooking various Polish dishes for her family. Julia treasured her rose garden, she spent many hours perfecting it over the years and in her free time she crocheted and knitted.
The family requests that memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Northwest Ohio.

Friends may gather with the family Friday, 10:00 a.m. to 12:30 a.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd., (419-473-0300). A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 1:00 p.m. in Regina Coeli Catholic Church. Officiating will be Father Raymond Sheperd. Interment will follow in Ottawa Hills Memorial Park.
