Judy A. Mason, age 83, of Holland, passed away suddenly Monday, February 26, 2007 at the Flower Hospital surrounded by her family. She was born on July 6, 1923 to Bela and Rose Vargo in Toledo. Judy's parents were born in Budapest, Hungary. She was employed with the Champion Spark Plug Company for 17 years as a line inspector and with the Canteen Service Company at the University of Toledo. Judy often enjoyed taking walks with her daughter and grand-dogs, Fred and Carmie, in the park. She enjoyed feeding the birds and loved gardening. She had a great sense of humor and always found the good in everything and everyone she came in contact with. Judy will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Norman H. Mason and son Casey James Mason. Judy is survived by her loving family, daughter: Polly A. Mason; sisters: Rose Mary Babos and Irene Myers; brother: William Vargo; cousin: Mary Hazel Morris; and many special nieces, nephews, cousins, dear friends and family.
A Memorial Mass to Celebrate Judy's life will be held, Wednesday, March 7, 2007 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Joseph Church, 5373 Main Street, Sylvania, OH 43560. The Newcomer Funeral Home assisted the family with arrangements.
In lieu of flowers, those wishing to make monetary donations are asked to consider the family or the Toledo Metroparks.
