Judith E Klein

August 12, 1939 — April 26, 2017

Heaven gained another angel when Judith E. Klein (aka "Alice" and "Queen J"), 77, of Maumee, Ohio, passed away on Wednesday, April 26, 2017.
Judy was born on August 12, 1939 in Toledo to Howard and Evelyn (Hunter) Tripp. She graduated from Libbey HS in 1957. On May 28, 1960, she married her soulmate, Robert. They had one daughter, Kathleen, and were invaluable in raising grandsons Michael and Benjamin.

Early on, Judy worked for Toledo Edison in the Cashiers and Credit departments. She later volunteered at St. Luke's Hospital and Rescue Crisis Services for many years. In 1994, she spearheaded the establishment of Maumee's first Block Watch program. She belonged to Immaculate Conception Parish and was a member of its prayer chain as well as that of St. Patrick of Heatherdown's.

Judy had a great sense of humor that was evident even throughout her illness. Her crazy antics will continue to be retold for years to come. She was a great listener and someone both the young and old sought out for advice. She loved her dogs and they sure loved her. She was an avid Steelers fan and was willing to take any Browns fan's money that would bet her. She loved to shop, to listen to music (especially her grandsons') and to talk on the phone. Most apparent, however, was her devotion to her family. Her rock, "Ace", who also became known as Coco and Chef Rober over the years, was the love of her life since age 16. Her daughter and grandsons had no greater fan. No football or hockey ref was beyond her vocal cords, and there wasn't anything she wouldn't have done for them. Michael's wife Lauren earned an instant place in her heart and it meant the world to her to be able to meet her great grandson, Marcus.

Judy is survived by her husband Bob, daughter Kathleen, grandsons Michael (Lauren) and Benjamin, great grandson Marcus, and special nephew, Bob McMahon. She was predeceased by her parents and "Sissy", June McMahon.

A memorial mass will be held at 11am on Saturday May 20th at Immaculate Conception Church 434 Western Ave. Toledo, OH, with a luncheon to follow.

Tributes to Judy can be made to the church or Hospice of NW Ohio.
