Judith "Judy" Ann Fish

December 3, 1940 — January 5, 2025

Lambertville, Michigan

Judith Ann (Collins) Fish, 84 of Lambertville, Michigan went to see her Savior and Lord on January 5, 2025 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio.

The daughter of Kenneth Collins and Thelma Cavanaugh, she was born on December 3, 1940 in a small house in Walbridge, Ohio. Judith was the eldest child and was raised with her Uncle Terry Cavanaugh, two brothers and two sisters in the South end of Toledo.

Judy was a graduate of Libbey High School class of 1958. She was in the marching band, where she acquired her lifelong love of music.

She started walking to church at the age of ten every Sunday on her own, where she accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior. She also met a young boy there named Charles Fish at this small church, who eventually became her friend and loving husband for 62 years.

Judith and Charles were married on June 10, 1962, and together they lovingly raised three children Bethann (Kevin) Wonser, Steven (Kim) Fish, and Jennifer (Chad) Robbins.

Judith was proud to be a registered nurse. She put herself through Maumee Valley School of Nursing class of 1963 while working a Tiedtke's Department Store, in downtown Toledo. She was a licensed RN in both Ohio, and Michigan, she kept both licensed active until her passing. She would often say, "once a nurse always a nurse." She worked for Maumee Valley Hospital and Flower Hospital in intensive care, and orthopedics. Judy continued her education, graduating with her Bachelor of education at University of Toledo. She was a clinical instructor at the Northwest Ohio LPN School, where she loved teaching anatomy/physiology, and she would tell her family stories about the class around the dining room table which would sometimes gross us out. Judy then furthered her education achieving a Master's in Health Education at the University of Toledo. After graduating with her Master's, she worked for the Toledo Board of Education with various positions in the Toledo school system from 1980 until her retirement from Deveaux Junior High school as a school nurse.

Judy was gifted with a beautiful voice; she sang and was a choir director for many different churches she attended throughout the years. She was a member of the Toledo Choral Society; she traveled for several years with the Michigan/Ohio-CMI, concert Ministries choir. She always said, "Music was in her soul." She attended Trinity Church of the Nazarene, where she served as a board member for several years, also a member at Bible Study Fellowship she developed many new friendships and continued to grow in faith, and love for God.

She loved sewing and was an excellent seamstress, she made her daughter's wedding dress, she perfected numerous outfits, and Halloween outfits for her children and grandchildren with love.

Recently, she loved to embroider shirts and making cakes from scratch for family and friends.

Judith was a loving grandma to Emily (David) Grasch, Ashley (Jeffery) Knerr, Matthew Wonser, Hannah Robbins, Noah (Brianna) Robbins, Olivia Robbins, Alyssa Fish, and Johonna Fish; great grandmother to Elijah Knerr, Jackson and Hudson Grasch; and her youngest sister, Betsy (Garry) Haekos.

She is preceded in death by her brothers, Michael and Gary Collins, and her sister, Susan Myers.
