Juanita G. "Nita" Turner

Juanita (Nita) Turner passed away peacefully on September 11, 2024. Nita was the owner/operator of Dudley’s Drive In/Diner. So many Toledo and surrounding area families loved going to get the famous chili dogs, hamburgers, milk shakes and hand cut onion rings and fries. Dudley’s was a staple in Toledo from 1955-2010.

Along with being a business owner, Nita was a wife and mother to three sons. Nita and Dudley were married in 1950, and Jeff (Sidney), Roger (Trudy), and Bart (Carey) were welcome additions to the family. During the time the boys were little Nita loved to spoil them at Christmas (her favorite holiday,) own and ride horses, and watch the boys in various sports. She was always ready to watch tennis or play cards with the family. Nita has a love for dogs and over the years had many loyal companions in her home.

Nita is proceeded in death by her parents, husband, and eight siblings. Nita is survived by her three sons, daughters-in-law, nine grandchildren, ten great grandchildren, one great, great granddaughter, and many nieces and nephews.

The family will be having a private memorial service, in leu of flowers, please consider any local animal shelter and/or animal rescue. The family would like to thank the wonderful staff at the Franciscan Center, and Hospice.
