Juanita Auxter

Juanita (Jeri) Auxter, 87, loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend, died at home on September 1, 2012 surrounded by family. Preceded in death by her husband Donald, parents W.R. & Emma Woods, siblings Marian Anthony & W.R. Woods, Jr.

Surviving are children Cheryl (Ron) Crawford, Dee Dee (David) St. Aubin, Donna (Jim Bishop) Auxter, Steve (Connie Toland) Auxter, Marty (Laura) Auxter and Betsy (Chris) Kelly. Grandchildren Joe, Jacqui, Toni, Michaele, Ryan, Steven, Kelsey, Stephanie, Samantha & Gage. Great-grandchildren Andréa, April, Abbi, Brent, Hunter, Logan and Libby. Also surviving are siblings Betty Childers, Senie Cline, Peggy Cathey, Thelma Murr, Clara Shelton, Allen Woods, plus many wonderful nieces, nephews and good friends.

Born in North Carolina on Oct. 26, 1924 she lived in Ohio for over 60 years but was still a southern girl at heart, y'all. Aside from her love of family and many hours spent with them, she had a passion for gardening. Over the last 20+ years Jeri volunteered at Bethany House in Toledo, a Grady Memorial Hospital in Delaware and, most recently, at W.A.R.M. in Westerville.

Visitation will be 2-4 and 6-8 PM Wednesday, September 5, 2012 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4752 Heatherdowns Blvd., Toledo where funeral services will be held 10:30 AM Thursday. Burial at Ottawa Hills Memorial Park, Toledo. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Heartland Hospice, 6500 Busch Blvd., Ste. 210, Cols., Oh 43329 or the charity of your choice.
