Joyce M. Thompson

Joyce M. Thompson, age 85, of Toledo, passed away Thursday, September 8th, 2011 after a brief illness at Lake Park Nursing Home. She was born August 17, 1926 to Clarence and Laura "Doris" (Zimniczak) Hullibarger in Toledo, Ohio. Joyce retired several years ago from All Phase Electric. She loved to bowl, do jig-saw puzzles and was a Detroit Tiger fan. Joyce was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother, cherishing the time she was able to spend with her family.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Doris Kriner, loving husband, Robert Thompson and son, Frederick Anderson. Joyce is survived by her daughters, Kathryn (Dennis) Conti and Mary (Bud) Kowalski; son, Joseph (Sue) Anderson; 10 grandchildren; and 14 great grandchildren.

The family will receive guests Sunday from 3 - 8:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd. (419-473-0300). A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday at 11:00 a.m. at St. Catherine of Siena, 4555 North Haven Ave., Toledo, with visitation one hour prior. Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery.
