Joyce M. Rhodes, 63, passed away surrounded by her loving family on December 16, 2011. She was born on September 24, 1948 to the late L.Z. and Erma Fitzpatrick.
Joyce loved roller-skating and attending church. She and her husband were members of Greater St. Mary's, Rhema and Walk the Word Ministry. Joyce was head of the youth choir at Greater St. Mary's. She enjoyed spending time with her family and adored her grand and great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Joyce was preceded in death by her brothers, James Duson, Billy Fitzpatrick and sister, Gloria Fitzpatrick. Left to cherish her memory is her loving husband of 42 years, Bob; children, Sabrina, Donnell (Lenore); sisters, Mae Williams, Brenda (Ernest) Davis, Denise Fitzpatrick, Helen Fitzpatrick; brothers, Clarenton (Janet) Fitzpatrick, Learthur (Emma) Fitzpatrick and a host of relatives and friends.
The family will receive guests on Tuesday at Mt. Zion Church, 701 Vance St., Toledo from 10-11:00 a.m. The funeral service will begin at 11:00 a.m. in the church. Burial at Restlawn Cemetery. Pastor Talmadge Thomas officiating.
