Joyce Mae Layne

Joyce Mae Layne, age 78, of Toledo, passed away Tuesday, December 12, 2017 at Hickory Ridge, Temperance with her loving family by her side. She was born on July 23, 1939 to Theodore and Mary Ellen (Hill) Martin in Toledo. Joyce and her husband loved the summers spent in Stokes Bay, Canada. She enjoyed playing bingo, fishing and playing slot machines. Joyce loved nothing more than the time spent with her husband, and then her children and grandchildren. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband of 47 years, Robert "Rocky" Layne; and great-grandson, Logan Kaminski. Joyce is survived by her loving daughters, Jerri (Doug) Strauss and Jodi (Tracy) Myrice; sons, Ryan (Dee), Brian (Darcy), Mark, Tim (Merri-Jo) and Jason (Christy); 14 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; siblings, Bill Martin, Carol Schwartz, Patricia Henderson and Georgeann McFadden; and many other family members, her Canadian family and dear friends.

The family will receive guests on Thursday, December 21, 2017 from 2 – 6:00 p.m. at Newcomer – NW Chapel, 4150 W. Laskey Rd., Toledo (419-473-0300) with Memorial Services beginning at 6:00 p.m. in the funeral home.
