Joyce C Koczorowski

Our beloved mother, Joyce Carol Koczorowski passed away in the morning of Tuesday, February 11, 2025. She was 85 years old, born June 6, 1939. She was a good student while attending Rosary Cathedral elementary school, then Central Catholic High School. She lived in Toledo, Ohio most of her life except when she lived in Chicago for a short time. 

She enjoyed swimming. We have fond memories of swimming with her at Detwiler Pool when we were children. She was a talented poet, having been published once at a young age, and continued to create poetry for many years. Joyce enjoyed watching all kinds of sports, especially ice skating. It was a special trip when we went to The Ice Capades. There was a time when Joyce enjoyed doing arts and crafts. And anyone that knew Joyce, knows that Bingo was her passion.

Joyce is survived by her daughters, Melissa Netry (Brent Van Tassel) and Denise Sweebe (Marc Sweebe); grandsons, Nicholas Netry, Daniel Netry and Maxwell Sweebe; granddaughters Adrienne Sweebe and Jessica Hayton; great granddaughter Stella Netry; sisters-in-law Sue Koczorowski and Gail Dunn. Preceding her in death are her parents Max and Alice Koczorowski, stepmother Carlotta Koczorowski, siblings Robert Koczorowski, Bonita Koczorowski, Marvin Koczorowski and Bibianna Koczorowski. 

Joyce will be interred at Mount Carmel Cemetery on Saturday, March 15, 2025 at 12pm.
