Joyce H. Kerr

Joyce H. Kerr (Pollock) age 87 of Holland, Ohio, passed away on Tuesday, July 19, 2016 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Perrysburg. Joyce was born in Toledo on May 13, 1929.
She was employed by Springfield Local School District where she cooked lunches and drove bus for more than 20 years. She also spent several years working for Ohio Bell and driving courier routes. Joyce was an active member of both the Holland and local bowling communities. She served on the township Strawberry Festival committee and spent over 65 years participating in and promoting the game of bowling for youth and adults. She loved the sport and her extended family of friends she met through her travels. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends from the Village of Holland, Brooklyn Park Villas, and bowling communities.
Joyce was proceeded in death by her husband of 59 years, William W. Kerr and is survived by her daughters Deb (Bill) Paben and Sue Kerner; grandchildren, Carrie (USN) and Chad Paben, and Ryan (Vanessa) and Derek Kerner (USA); sister-in-law Mary Pollock and family; cousin Edward Wechtel and family; and close family friend, Cindy Hall.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, July 23, 2016 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4752 Heatherdowns Blvd., Toledo, OH 43614 (419-381-1900). Friends and family may visit from 3-5:00 p.m. prior to the service.
Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Northwest Ohio, 30000 E. River Rd., Perrysburg, OH 43551 or the Greater Toledo Youth Scholarship Bowling Fund, 5062 Dorr St, Toledo, OH 43615.
