Joyce E. Saar

Joyce E. Saar, 78, passed away surrounded by her family on September 13th, 2011. She was born on October 8th, 1932 to the late Dee and Bernice Cowden.

On October 29th, 1949, Joyce married the love of her life, Chuck. They raised ten children together. Joyce took great pride in her home and she loved to bake bread. Whenever anyone walked into her home, they were always greeted with the smell of baking bread. She loved bingo, crafts, reading and jig-saw puzzles. Joyce and Chuck enjoyed camping together as well.

In addition to her parents, Joyce was preceded in death by her son, Charles; daughter-in-laws, Ara and Marilyn; grandson, Doug and great-grandson, Michael. Left to cherish her memory is her loving husband of 63 years, Chuck; children, Danny, Sharon (Mike), Larry, Linda (Skip), Cindy, Jeannie, Helen, Florence (Milad), Doug (Lori); brothers, Bob (Dorothy), Don, Diz; 29 grandchildren, 64 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and many other loving family members.

The family requests donations to be made in Joyce's name to Hospice of Northwest Ohio. Special thanks to Karen Franks for the wonderful care she took of our mother and wife.

Joyce was a strong wife, mother and grandmother. There will not be a day that goes by that she will not be thought of and missed. She will always remain forever in our hearts and always on our mind.
