Joyce Patricia Dunn, 88 peacefully passed to eternal life with our Lord on August 13, 2024, surrounded by her children. She fought a long and hard battle, and her strength and determination were admired by all that knew her.
Joyce was born on September 4, 1935, in Brooklyn, New York to Joseph and (Magdelena) Ruth (Lyon) Bilello. She was the oldest of three children. Her father was a Lieutenant Colonel in the Army. Being in a military family, she lived in countless places including Japan, South Korea and Germany. Joyce had so many stories of her time on Army bases and abroad.
Joyce was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Spending time with her family was her greatest joy. Joyce was an avid card player. She especially enjoyed playing bridge with her friends at Maumee Senior Center. Joyce surely had a competitive spirit, and she took her card games very seriously! Joyce was always up to playing any type of card and board games with family. Joyce would play anything the great grandkids would ask her to play. She could not say no to them. Joyce also loved her trips to the casino. She would often go with her brother Tom and his wife Ceil when they came to visit her.
Joyce is truly loved and will be deeply missed by her family. She is survived by two brothers, Tom (Cecelia) Bilello and Joe Bilello.
Joyce is also survived by her children Ted (DeAnna) Dunn, Terri (Mark) Hanna; grandchildren Kyle (Natalie) Hanna, Melanie (Nate) Christian, Brian (Abby) Dunn, Michael Dunn, Seth Willis, Ethan (Jessica) Dunn and Mollianne (Daniel) Sifuentes and great grandchildren Ayden, Ava, Ashland and Alexa Hanna, Logan and Jackson Christian, and Charlie and Lainey Dunn. She also loved dogs and loved all her grand puppies. We will cherish all our memories with love, laughter and smiles which will live on in our hearts forever.
We would also like to thank the entire staff at Lakes of Monclova who lovingly cared for our Mom. Your dedication did not go unnoticed, and we had peace of mind knowing that she was loved and tended to. We would also like to thank Hospice of Northwest Ohio. We are grateful for all the extra care you provided and all that you did to make her life easier and keep her comfortable. There are too many to name, but we would personally like to thank her Hospice nurse Terri for everything. You were amazing to her and the support you provided to us.
Services and burial will be private. In lieu of flowers donations may be given to Hospice of Northwest Ohio.
