Joyce D. Pfeifer

Joyce D. Pfeifer, age 76, of Ottawa Lake, MI passed away in the arms of her loving husband, Jim on March 15, 2016 at Arbors at Sylvania. Joyce was born June 5, 1939 in Rock Wood, MI to Lawrence and Pearl (Kiester) Winter. Joyce met her husband in the Fall of 1956 and were married on December 5, 1958. Joyce and Jim enjoyed traveling especially to their cabin in the UP. She also enjoyed canning vegetables and crocheting. Joyce loved spending time with her family.

In addition to her parents, Joyce was also preceded in death by her brothers, Raymond, Bob and Guy Winter. She is survived by her loving husband, Jim Pfeifer, Jr., sons, Daryl (Kathy) Pfeifer and Jim (Debbie) Pfeifer, III, grandchildren, Brandi Pfeifer (Jesse), Harley (Marcus) Badillo, Kevin (Ashley) Clark, Tom (Chelsea) Reau, Justin Reau, great grandchildren, Adriana, Noah, CJ, Maggie, Aubree and Corbin, sisters, Louise Krusell, Linda (Boyd) Brantley, Loretta Worrell, Vivian (Larry) Gilliam, Beth Ann (Ron) Haynes, Alyce Thompson and Sue (Bart) Serko, brothers, Ed (Shirley) Winter, Richard (Donna) Winter and Jerry (Cathy) Winter.

The family will receive guests Friday, March 18, 2016 from 3:00 pm - 8:00 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home - NW Chapel, 4150 W. Laskey Rd. (419-473-0300). Funeral Services will begin Saturday at 12:00 pm. at Westgate Chapel, 2500 Wilford Dr. Toledo with visitation 1-hour prior to services. Burial will follow at Ottawa Hills Memorial Park.

Memorial contributions may be made in Joyce's memory to ProMedica Hospice.
