Joyce C. Fager

Joyce C. Fager, age 86, of Toledo, passed away peacefully, Thursday, March 28, 2013 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Toledo. She was born on October 11, 1926 to Glendon and Esther (Delaney) Bailey in Toledo. Joyce graduated from Whitney High School. She married the love of her life, Raymond E. Fager on November 28, 1946 and they celebrated 65 years of wedded bliss. Joyce was a homemaker and mother to her five children. She was a longtime member of Our Lady of Lourdes Church. Joyce worked as a secretary for Champion Spark Plug and Owens Illinois along with part time office work at various companies in Toledo. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond, March 2012. Joyce is survived by her loving children, Janet (Frank) Renner, Barbara (Edward) Adams, Wayne (Susan) Fager, Linda (John) Rosentreter, and Keith (Valeeta) Fager; grandchildren, Julie, Kimberly, Amy, Jennifer, Mireille, Powell, Shelley and Kyle; great-grandchildren, Emma, Taylor, Alyssa, Alex, Cole, Caden, Alaina, Noah and Lyla; step-grandchildren, Amy, Angie, Holly and Ian; step-great-grandchildren, Olivia, Jamie, Hunter and Kenley; and sisters, Genevieve Abrass and Mardell Chmielewski.

The family will receive guests on Wednesday from 2 – 8:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4752 Heatherdowns Blvd., Toledo (419-381-1900). Prayers will begin Thursday at 9:00 a.m. in the funeral home followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Lourdes Church, 6149 Hill Ave., Toledo. Interment will follow in Resurrection Cemetery.
