Joyce A. Beatty

Joyce A. Beatty, age 71, of Toledo, went to be with the Lord Saturday, September 20, 2008, surrounded by her loving family. She was born March 20, 1937 to Raymond and Dorothy (Rutherford) Wolfenbarger in Fonde, Kentucky. Joyce enjoyed listening to music, playing bingo and spending time with her family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Beatty; father, Raymond Wolfenbarger; grandmother, Diora Rutherford; sisters, Barbara Sheaves and Mary Bordner; brothers, Billie Ray and Jimmie Wayne Wolfenbarger; nephew, David Carlisle and uncle, TJ Rutherford. Joyce is survived by her mother, Dorothy Wolfenbarger; sons, Gary Bigelow, of WY and John (Brenda) Ferguson; sisters, Angelena (James) Carlisle and Kathy Huff; sister-in-law, Joan Wolfenbarger; brothers-in-law, Darl "Sonny" Bordner and Tom Sheaves; 3 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; many special nieces, nephews; aunts; cousins; friends and special neighbors, Butch and Gloria Patton.

The family will receive guests Wednesday from 10:00 a.m.- 2:00 p.m. at Newcomer funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd. (419-473-0300), followed by Funeral Services beginning at 2:00 p.m. Interment will follow in Ottawa Hills Memorial Park.

Joyce's family would like to give a special thank you to Tonya Styer, of Hospice of Northwest Ohio for the loving care and support she showed to Joyce during her illness.
