Joy Ann Good

Joy A. Good, 71, passed away on November 8, 2022. She was born on October 21, 1951 in Toledo, Ohio, the daughter of Najeeb "Mike" Hymore and Delores Gruetter. Joy attended Waite High School and later went on to receive her GED. Soon after school, she became a stay-at-home mother raising her three children Amy, Chad and Kevin. She went on to work at Ohio Diagnostics for several years. Later, she worked at M.O.D.E.L Community School, Sunshine Children's Home, and Caring For Yours where she grew a great admiration for serving people with developmental disabilities. She spent much of her spare time with her lifelong best friend, Lynn, and her dog, George, as well as family and friends.

In addition to her parents, Joy is preceded in death by her son Chad Good. She is survived by her children Amy (Jeff) and Kevin (Holly). Grandchildren, Jeffrey (Ally), Alana, Zack, Jaylen, Breanna and her great grandchildren, Dominic and August. She is also survived by her sister, Betty, as well as loving family and friends.

A service will be held at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4752 Heatherdowns Blvd. Toledo, OH 43614 on Monday, November 14, 2022; viewing 11:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. with service to follow 1:00 p.m. Graveside services will follow at Historic Woodlawn Cemetery. The family asks in place of flowers that a donation be made to either the Glioblastoma Foundation or ProMedica Hospice.
