Josephine Ann "Jo Ann" (DiCarlo) Miller, age 77, resident of Tecumseh, Michigan, but previously of Toledo, Ohio, passed away on Thursday, March 31, 2022, at her home surrounded by family. She was born on May 10, 1944, in Lorain, Ohio, to the late Dominic and Pia (Glorioso) DiCarlo.
Jo Ann is a 1962 graduate of Lorain High School. She continued her education, where she graduated in 1965 from the Practical Nursing School of Elyria. Jo Ann is a former member and past treasurer of Professional Secretaries International (PSI) and Tecumseh Business and Professional Women's Club. Jo Ann was a member of Little Flower Catholic Church. Family was number one in Jo Ann's life; she was a wonderful mom and grandmother who will be missed by all who knew her.
Those left to forever cherish her memory are her daughter, Theresa (Shawn Goody) Heavener; son, Raymond (Judy) Miller; granddaughter, Kara; grandsons, Eric, Deven, and Braden; two great granddaughters, Taliah and Laniah; great grandson, Cartiano; six step-grandchildren, Shauna, Jordan, Jeremiah, Alex, Paige and Kaitlyn; many great step-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Judy DiCarlo; brother-in-law, Enrico Freda; four nieces, Lisa Freda Amundson, Gina Krause, Julie DiCarlo and Andrea Anderson; three nephews, John, Christopher, and Brian DiCarlo; and numerous great nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her special friend and former husband, Raymond Miller; infant daughter, Karen Marie Miller; brother, Dominic DiCarlo; and sister, Marie Freda.
Family and friends may gather at the Newcomer Funeral Home, 3655 King Road, Toledo, Ohio 43617, on Sunday, April 3, 2022, from 2:00 pm - 7:00 pm. Visitation will continue on Monday, April 4, 2022, at Little Flower Catholic Church, 5522 Dorr Street, Toledo, Ohio 43615, from 9:30 am - 10:30 am, where her Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 10:30 am, with Fr. Chris Hudgin officiating. Jo Ann will be laid to rest at Calvary Cemetery in Lorain, Ohio.
