Josephine (Josi) Ann Wronkowicz

Born Josephine Ann Brady; a loving wife, mother, sister, and friend Josi passed away peacefully in her sleep at Otterbein Sunset Village in the early morning hours of December 31, 2024.

Born in Toledo, OH on January 24, 1949 to Mary Ann McDonagh and Thomas J. Brady, Josi lived a full and often adventurous life. She grew up largely in North Toledo, part of a family of 5 girls and 1 boy. She attended Whitney vocational high school and the University of Toledo. Widowed twice; one of six siblings, Josi never allowed tragedy to dim her outlook, choosing always to embrace the positive in any situation. Josi enjoyed a long and successful career as an accountant and tax preparer. She treated every client like family and they all loved her.

Known for her empathy and caring, Josi was selfless in lifting others up. Josi made friends easily bringing joy and comfort to everyone who met her. Her life stories, built up over the years of adventure and adversity, were charming and endearing and always shared with her trademark wit and laughter. Josi is survived by her husband Steve, son Donovan, Stepson Andrew, sister Kathleen brother Tom and numerous grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and sisters Christine, Colleen and Maureen.

Family and friends may visit at Newcomer Funeral Home, 3655 King Road, Toledo, Ohio 43617, on Wednesday, January 8, 2025, from 3:00 pm – 7:00 pm. A private family burial will take place at Toledo Memorial Park, where Josi will be laid to rest. 

A bright light in everyone's lives she touched has been extinguished. Our emptiness assuaged by the knowledge that Josi has been accepted into the arms of our Lord and is in a happy reunion with all that she previously lost. Her favorite movie "It's a Wonderful Life" will come true as you hear the bells ring and know this angel got her wings.
