Joseph Young

Joseph W. Young, age 75, of Holland, attained his Christian victory Friday, March 11, 2005 in the Swanton Health Care and Retirement Center. He was born April 23, 1929 to Hiram and Ruby (Saunders) Young in Key West, FL. Joe was employed with Local #8 as an electrician for more than 31 years. He was a US Army veteran and a member of Zion Lutheran Church.

Joe was preceded in death by his parents and first wife, Ione Young. He is survived by his loving wife, Carole R. (Heberling) Young; children, George (Cindee) Young; Joe (Lois) Young; Scott (Stacey) Young; Stephanie (Scott) Wolfram and Shannon (Jamie) Speer; sister, Gloria Wilson; brother, Oliver Young; 4 grandchildren and sister-in-law, Clara Young.

The family will receive guests Sunday from 3-9:00 p.m. at Zion Lutheran Church, 3360 Nebraska Ave. Funeral Services will begin Monday at 10:30 a.m. at the church. Officiating will be Rev. Patrick Bell. Interment will follow in Ottawa Hills Memorial Park.

Memorial Contributions may be made to Zion Lutheran Church or to the Alzheimer's Association of Northwest Ohio.

The Young Family would like to extend their deepest gratitude to the Alzheimer's Association and Swanton Health Care for the wonderful care and compassion they showed to both Joe and his family.
