Joseph W. Nevins, 73, passed away on April 30, 2013. He was born on March 7, 1940 to the late Sylvia and Joseph J. Nevins in Cincinnati, Ohio.
Joe was a veteran of the Air Force. After being discharged, he worked as an Air Traffic Controller for many years. Joe also worked as a meat-cutter, owned and operated The Derby Inn for 10 years and recently worked as a Mail Transport Truck Driver.
In addition to his parents, Joe was preceded in death by his companion, Janet Pandi. Left to cherish his memory is his sister, Pat Meismer; nieces and nephew, Denise, Rebecca, Jennie and Steve, their children, and dear friend, Truman Haas.
The family will receive guests on Tuesday, May 7, 2013 from 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 Noon at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4752 Heatherdowns Blvd., Toledo (419-381-1900).
