Joseph F. Scheibenzuber
Joseph F. Scheibenzuber, age 80, of Toledo, passed away Thursday, December 28, 2006. He was born November 27, 1926 to Joseph and Katherine (Labermaier) Scheibenzuber. Joe was employed with the former Toledo Pipe Threading (Toledo Beaver Tools) for 33 years. Joe retired in 1989. He was a member of the Bavarian Benevolent Society, the Bavarian Sports Club and the UAW. Joe was also a 79 year member of St. Mary's Church. He was currently a member of St. Catherine of Siena Church. Joe enjoyed fast cars, spending time at the family cottage with the boats and listening to polka music.
In addition to his parents, Joe was preceded in death by his sister, Mary Gurney and infant son, Joseph F. Scheibenzuber, Jr. He is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Clella I. (Harrison) Scheibenzuber; daughters, Katherine (Mike) Hughes and Karin (Jerry) Austin; grandchildren, Joseph P.; Benjamin J.S. Hughes; Brianna S. Cordell "C.J." and Cadin M. Austin; sisters-in-law; Norma Beaver; Frances (Bill) Scheuerman and Judy Schroder; brother-in-law; Joe (Pam) Harrison and many nieces, nephews and dear friends, especially Pat Harrison.
The family will receive guests Tuesday 2-5:00 and 6-8:00 p.m. at the Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd. (419-473-0300). A Rosary will be recited at 4:00PM on Tuesday. Funeral Services will begin Wednesday at 9:15 a.m. in the funeral home followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. at St. Catherine of Siena, 4555 North Haven. Officiating will be Fr. Gary Walters. Interment will be in Mt. Carmel Cemetery.
Memorial Contributions may be made to the charity of the donor's choice or to the St. Catherine of Siena Building Fund.
