Joseph Royer peacefully passed away on March 23, 2024 surrounded by his family in the care of Hospice of North West Ohio. Joe enjoyed playing his guitar, playing disc golf, reading books, watching movies and spending quality time with his son Ayden. Joe loved his family and had an enormous heart. He took in animals to care for and find homes for them. He would help anyone that was in need if it was with in his power to do so. He was a kind soul and deep thinker with a dark sense of humor, he would find something to chuckle about often.
Joe was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes at the age of 14. He struggled with this disease over the years. On November 11, 2017 Joe was the recipient of a Kidney and Pancreas transplant at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center. Joe was, and his family will remain, eternally grateful for the gift of 6 additional years to spend together.
