Joseph P. "Joe" Mohler

Joseph P. "Joe" Mohler, age 51, of Toledo, passed away Monday February 16, 2009 at St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center surrounded by his loving family. He was born March 19, 1957 to David and Carol (Farmer) Mohler in Toledo. Joe was a U.S. Navy veteran, serving his country proudly. He worked as a welder/fabricator for many years. Joe had strong passion for music; it was his second love in life. He was an avid golfer and enjoyed playing cards. Joe was always willing to help anyone who needed it and was a very compassionate man. He loved spending time with his family and friends and will be sadly missed by all.

Joe is survived by his loving wife of 28 years, Debora "Deb" Mohler; daughter, Jessica (Doug) Grycza; son, Jeremy Mohler; father, David (Shirley) Mohler; sister, Julia (Ronald) Tremp; brothers, James (Linda) and Michael (Kris) Mohler; and many other family members and dear friends. In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Sophie Rose Grycza.

The family will receive guests on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd. (419-473-0300) with Funeral Services beginning at 3:00 p.m. Officiating will be Fr. James Auth.

The family would like to give a special thank you to Joe's oncologists, his doctor, Phillip Stiff, M.D. and the nurses and staff at St. Anne Mercy Hospital and St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center for all of the loving care and support they gave to Joe and his family through this difficult time.
