Joseph M. Kowalski, age 49, passed away on May 17, 2014. He was born on May 16, 1965 to Judith and James Kowalski Sr. in Toledo, Ohio.
Joe was a 1985 graduate of DeVilbiss High School. He was a U.S. Army Veteran. Joe worked for almost 30 years as a Machine Operator at Libbey Glass. He liked to get together with his co-workers to shoot pool. Joe loved the outdoors and enjoyed fishing. He was fascinated by Astronomy and liked studying the night sky through his telescope. Joe also enjoyed gardening and working in his yard. He taught himself to play the guitar in his youth and loved playing music throughout the rest of his life.
Joe was preceded in death by his mother. Left to cherish his memory is his daughter, Andrea (Gerardo); son, Nicholas; father, James Sr.; siblings, Susan Spitzer, James Jr. (Cindy), Jodi (John) Reid, Edward (Debra); grandson, Jayden and many nieces and nephews.
The family will receive guests on Wednesday, May 21, 2014 from 2-8:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4752 Heatherdowns Blvd., Toledo (419-381-1900). The Funeral Service will be held on Thursday at 11:00 a.m.
