Joseph Kruzel, age 63, passed away on February 16, 2012 in his home. He was born on January 24, 1949 in Toledo, Ohio to Leonard and Leona Kruzel. Joe married Karen (Rodriguez) on July 13, 1984. He was a retired firefighter/paramedic for the City of Toledo, former Marine and member of Toledo Mennonite Church. Joe loved helping others, talking with his brother and nephew, Michael, about cars and sports, reading and playing euchre. He loved spending time with his dogs!
Joe is survived by his loving wife of 27 years, Karen; brother, Larry (Sheliah); many nieces and nephews: Michael (Kristine) Kruzel, Lisa Segura, A.J. Kruzel, Shae Dishneau, Dan (Gwen) Bryant, Ken Dishneau, Melody Blattner, Erica (Caleab) Wyant, Ariel Weisenburger, Lauren (Dan) Hughes, Jacob (Eleni) Rodriguez-Noble, Mia, Adelle, Lillian and Natalie Rodriguez-Steen, Parker, Spencer and Tegan Hack and Olivia and Helen Westerman. He will also be missed by his sister-in-laws: Mary (Mike) Rodriguez-Noble, Marcia (Brian) Weisenburger, Laura (Bob Andrzejak) Rodriguez, Jacque (Tim) Hack and Gloria (John) Westerman.
Although we know he is in a better place, he is deeply missed. Friends will be received on Sunday, February 19 from 2-7:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4752 Heatherdowns Blvd. (419-381-1900). A memorial service will be held on Monday, February 20 at 11:00 a.m. at Toledo Mennonite Church, 5501 Nebraska Ave., Toledo, Ohio (419-536-1251).
