Joseph F. Kerekes

Joseph F. "Joe" Kerekes, age 90, of Toledo, passed away on Friday, May 9, 2014, where he was surrounded by his family. He was born on May 4, 1924 in Toledo. Joe proudly served his country in the U.S. Air Force during WWII. For over 30 years he worked for National Life Insurance Co. in Toledo as a District Manager. After working in the insurance industry he was active in real estate and later retired. Joe was a very devoted husband, father and grandfather and he will be dearly missed by those who loved him.

Left to cherish his memory are his daughters, Kathleen "Kathy" Binkley and Jody (Tim) Jenne-Scovern; grandchildren, Christian Binkley, Nicole Royce, Heather Binkley and Brooke Jenne and nine great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Virginia (Scoff) Kerekes; son-in-law, Bob Binkley.

The family will receive guests on Thursday, May 15, 2014 from 2-7:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd. (419-473-0300). Funeral Services will begin in the funeral home on Friday, May 16, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow in Toledo Memorial Park.
