Joseph F. Justen, 83, passed away peacefully on November 2, 2012. He was born on March 10, 1929 to the late Wanda and Charles Justen in Toledo, Ohio.
Joe retired from Gross Electric after over 50 years of service. He loved working for them and was treated like one of the family. Joe treasured his family and the time he spent with them. Joe and Ellie loved to travel the world and visit casinos (and win!).
In addition to his parents, Joe was preceded in death by his sisters, Catherine LaPlante and Rita Cameron; brothers, Frank and James; brothers-in-law, Ray LaPlante, Don Cameron, Joe Deak and Verl Hiller and sister-in-law, Kathy Justen. Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife of over 63 years, Ellie; son, Mike (Debbie); daughter, Mickey (Kevin) Molnar; siblings, Chuck (Lee), Jerry (Grace), Theresa Deak and Eleanor Hiller; sister-in-law, Vada Justen; grandchildren, Chad (Adrienne) Justen, Brad (Becky) Justen, Erin (Dan) Sulier and Ryan (Kristina) Molnar; eleven great-grandchildren and a great-great-granddaughter and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.
A Memorial Mass will be held at Noon on Saturday, November 10, 2012 at Christ the King Catholic Church, 4100 Harvest Lane, Toledo. Private interment.
The family requests memorial donations be made to Central Catholic High School where Joe graduated in 1947 or a charity of the donor's choice.
